The 1/27/2026 “Vigil for Alex, Renee, & Minnesota” was hosted and organized by the Indivisible Greater Vancouver group. From 5:00pm-6:15pm PST protesters gathered at Officer’s Row in demonstration against the current administration, and memorial for those victim to it.

“We are gathering to mourn and stand in solidarity after the tragic killing of ICU nurse Alex Pretti — a 37-year-old VA hospital caregiver remembered for his compassion, service to veterans, and commitment to community. Alex was fatally shot by federal immigration agents in Minneapolis this month during protests against aggressive enforcement actions — an incident that has deeply moved people across the country and fueled peaceful demonstrations. Alex is the third person murdered on our streets this year. We also honor Keith Porter Jr. and Renee Good.”
